Just compare both model, look at the weakness and strength, and what you are looking for that fits your need and budget. Example if your want best image you have to go with 4K, if you don't care about that then 1080P will do just fine. The difference between the two that you mentioned is not a lot. The 2100 has 2500 lumens and a contrast ration of 35000:1 compare to the 880 which is 3300 lumens and a 15000:1. That being said with the 2100 you'll get slightly better image but the 880 is brighter. Also note that the 2100 is slightly bigger and heavier that the 880 and possibly a little more expensive and I believe is also a discontinued projector. So in my opinion I'll go with the 880 which may be cheaper and is a newer model, check my review and photos on the BestBuy website . Hope this help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Epson 2100 is an older model (its twin is the 2150, which is the preferred model of that group). The HC880 is an upgrade of the HC760HD. That said if you are looking for a quick and easy to use projector you cannot go wrong with the HC880, I am loving mine. If you need additional features (optical zoom, a second HDMI port, VGA, composite inputs), the HC1080 (replacement for 1060) is a good choice. The current upgrade cycle for the 2100/2150 is the HC2250. I think for the price the HC880 is just perfect! Use a streaming stick and a external speaker via the 3.5mm jack (either bluetooth or wired) and you got yourself a wonderful setup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well the 2100 model has an additional HDMI port and an VGA port for computer connectivity. If you plan to connect multiple devices to the 2100 would be a good choice. It also has great contrast. Yet, the 880 has update HDMI port to (2.0) but neither supports 4K or HDR. It will boil down to price and purpose. However, I personally wouldn't connect too many items to a projector for the fear of it running to hot for a long time so I enjoy the 880 that I have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.880 is perfect
