QuestionAC panel turns on all lights for a few seconds, beeps and shuts off. Compressor nor fan comes on. No breaker trip or plug trip. have tried multiple outlets and air filter is clean. Not sure what to do.

- Answer Me too, I might add the initial answer may be correct, however in my case the unit won't power long enough to check or change settings, upon plugging the unit in it beeps, and goes off... Not 5 seconds before it powers off and pressing the power button yields no results.

QuestionDOES REMOTE WITH DIGITAL DISPLAY ACTUALLY CONTROL AIR CONDITION FROM WHERE THE REMOTE IS WITH ME 12 FEET ACROSS ROOM, MEANING DOES IT MAKE 60 DEGREES AT MY BED,NOT 1/4 INCH FROM CONDENSER LIKE MOST DO. IF IT KEEPS RUNNING TO GET ME 60 WHAT STOPS FREEZE.

- Answer Once you hit the remote sensing start button on the remote, you can control the temperature from the remote, and it also senses the temperature at the remote instead of at the air conditioner. I've tried it and it seems to work fine like that.

- Answer I don't know what they're talking about. Yes it has "curtains" that expand out to the sides, but I had to rig up something to go between the bottom of the unit and my vinyl windows so as not to crush the lip and the seal of the window. Never did get the tilt they recommend. And, because of the weight and concern about it damaging the double hung window, or falling, I've got the back end propped up with an old shovel handle.

QuestionConfused. The fan will shut off when it reaches the desired temperature (and I can forget about it) or the fan will stay on to 'keep the air moving' (and I have to be mindful to turn it off and turn it on)?

- Answer This is awesome. I already bought the unit and the answer given is wrong. lol This unit has an energy saving mode which does indeed shut off once it reaches the correct temperature. The fan kicks on for like 20 seconds every 10 minutes to take a reading of temperature. Thanks anyway, Frigidaire.

QuestionRegarding noise factor:where does this a.c. fall on 1-10 scale 1 being quietest!

- Answer It is a little noisy compared to the quieter models. But I can sleep through anything so for me it wasn’t an issue.. I’d say on a scale of one to ten, with one being no noise and ten being unbearable,I’d say it was a 5/6.

Questiondoes it leak/drip lots of water out of back (a little is fine)? it will jutt from window onto my terrace. there is another terrace below. I have no issues with my current ac--there is water in it, but no dripping. former ac filled buckets every few days.

QuestionI asked a question about seeing light thru the air flow. you answered saying to put the foam on the sides and striping around the AC. which I did, the light is coming through the vents you adjust the air flow from.is this normal? its annoying.

- Answer The outside light reflects through the sealed styrofoam insulation inside the unit. Manufacturer specs. Does not affect performance and it is sealed so as not to let insects in.

QuestionSize question, I have a bedroom that is about 175-200 sq ft,but it has very high ceilings (9 1/2- 10 ft), what size makes sense for that? Should I go with the 6000 or 800 btu unit?
