The "pint" size is actually the rate at which water is removed not the capacity. If you have a really damp place, you want a higher "pint" size.

A dehumidifier's size is determined by its total capacity to remove moisture. Capacity is rated in pints of moisture removed per day. For example, when you see a "50-pint dehumidifier," you're looking at a model that is rated to remove 50 pints of moisture total per day.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My understanding is that the different pint size units have beefier motors to get more moisture out of the air quicker so depending on the size of your home, it would be recommended to go with the size that fits your home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Bobby! The size of the dehumidifier (FFAD5033R1) will not necessarily play an option when using a drain hose. The 50 pints refers to the amount of water that will be removed within a 24 hour period. We hope this information is helpful to you.
