Yes, but as with any high wattage device, you need to be aware of the cord length and the gauge of the wire. The safest bet is to use a cord designed for air conditioners. What should you look for? A grounded cord (3 prong), 14 gauge wire or lower if the length is 10 feet or less. You could go with a longer cord of up to 25 foot in length but the wire gauge would need to be 12 gauge or less (the lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire). Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not recommended. This pulls a bit of power and I have had the lights nearby flicker on occasion. Adding an extension chord will only cause further issues. But it does come with a relatively long chord.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi lumpy, thank you for your submission. It is not recommend that dehumidifier model FAD704DWD is connected to an extension cord or an adaptor plug for safety reasons. Your appliance must be connected directly into a grounded and polarized three-prong receptacle. Please review the Use and Care Guide, which includes further details. We hope this information is of assistance. Do not hesitate to connect with us directly or via the Q&A forum via this website. –Best Regards-

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't believe any appliance like this is recommended to be used with an extension cord in general. The manual does indicate that it can be used with an approved "Dehumidifier" extension cord only.
