I agree with the OP. Over 95% of the time I do not use the Express Cook feature. It's an extra step I don't need and pressing a single button every time you cook is going to wear that but out before all of the others. My last Panasonic microwave did not have the Express cook feature but after 14 years the start button went bad. I can repair it but being disabled with widespread pain issues I'm not sure that I want to expend the energy a 14-year-old unit.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not that I know of. Pressing the time cook button is just one more button. The biggest problem is the amount of pressure it takes to push any of the buttons. It takes way to much pressure to press them.

You can also use the +30 Sec feature with Express Cook if you want program more than 6 minutes. It will add 30 seconds to the time counting down each time the pad is pressed. Each touch will add 30 seconds, up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
