The motor shaft is rusting and having a hard time turning. That's what's making the noise. A band-aid fix is to put a drop or two of vegetable oil into the hole under the white triangular platter peg that you can lift out. It's only a matter of time until it gets so rusty that the motor will stop turning altogether. I tore mine down and removed the rust, but it's just going to be a repeating cycle until I finally get rid of the stupid thing. Hope this helps.

If you feel that your turntable is not operating as it should, we recommend checking to make sure it is centered and seated properly on the ring and that there is no food or debris under the wheels of the ring. If you are still experiencing noise after service may be needed.
