QuestionI have had this washer for about 9months now and have noticed the water doesn't seem to fill all the way up. I know it's energy efficient but if i fill the washer half way with clothes and use the max cycle the water doesn't fill enough to wet the clothes

- Answer I bought this washer and it's always been like this. If I was sticky pet bedding, I have to wash it multiple times. I am very disappointed with this washer.

QuestionIs this washer large enough to wash a queen size comforter?

- Answer Very definitely! I would watch the balance when the comforter gets saturated. Even it out in the tub so it doesn't wobble when spinning.

QuestionI bought a HUGE high efficiency LG washing machine, but even on deep fill it only fills about 5" of water in the tub; most of the load is not submerged. Does this GE model fill traditionally, enough to submerge the clothes/linens? How deep is max fill?

- Answer The GE washer just purchased has selectable fill levels close to the top of the tub for large loads - don't know the volume though...

QuestionWill I be able to open the lid and add fabric softener directly to the rinse water using the deep rinse cycle? I don't like or use the fabric softener dispensers in the agitator, or rinse cycles that just spit water on the clothes while spinning.

- Answer You can pause the cycle and it will unlock the lid. Then just close the lid and press the Start/Pause button.

QuestionDoes the lid lock during the wash cycle?

- Answer Yes, it does lock while it is running. If you have to raise the lid then you must press the Start/Pause button. This will pause the wash cycle and allow you to raise the lid. Once you are done, close the lid and push the Start/Pause button to resume the wash cycle.

QuestionI've noticed with this washer that if I leave the lid open, it doesn't stop washing. I've run out of the room to go grab some more clothes to add to the washer and I've come back and the water is gone?

The washer will automatically drain any time the lid is left open for more than 15 minutes and water is present. It will also automatically drain if left in a paused state with the lid closed for more than 24 hours and water is present. QuestionMy washer frequently stops because items in the tank become unbalanced. Sometimes it jumps all over before it stops. Also, my blouse sleeves become tangled up with other clothing items such as pants.

- Answer Make sure your machine is level. Mine shook and sounded like a freight train after the 3rd party delivery crew said they leveled it. Level it both front to back and side to side. The level should be put on the flat side edges of the machine, not center on the curved cover. The instruction book has pictures for proper leveling. Also, when loading, try putting the clothes in loose clumps starting by outside of tub and don't wrap around agitator. And just a note to other readers, check that your hot and cold hoses are connected properly. There is a C and H on back of the machine. Apparently the 3rd party delivery service wasn't taught that either. After I corrected everything they did wrong, my machine is running nicely.

QuestionI should have been more specific when I asked my question. I can see it used knobs to operate the washer, but are the knobs connected to a digital computer board within the washer like Maytag has?

- Answer Hi Washedup - While the washer is not labeled HE, we recommend HE (High Efficiency) detergent be used in all of our washers (past and present models) for optimum wash performance. HE detergent works best with the lower water levels used in all modern washing machines and cleans just as well as standard detergents regardless of the machine type or age. QuestionHi! I just got my new washer. I’m so worried about the water that Sits under the drum. If you wiggle the Drum you can hear it. I had another Washer that did that And it always smelled so bad because the Water sat there and got moldy. Thank you

The washer has a balance ring that allows smooth operation and prevents the washer from knocking or walking. The balance ring is an enclosed plastic container that is partially filled with a salt water solution. The two halves of the balance ring are welded together to form a permanent seal. It is attached to the inner clothes basket and allows the basket to spin smoothly if an uneven load creates an out-of-balance situation.
