If you are just going to dump the water, consider adding a tiny amount of bleach after emptying it. This will keep it from getting gross. Maybe vinegar would work too, but I haven't tried it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm sorry, but I didn't ask how to empty it. I was wondering about keeping it clean. Buckets with small wells and internal supports are impossible to keep clean because I can't get into those places with a cleaning brush or sponge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi - Thanks for considering GE Model # ADHB50LZ! We suggest cleaning the bucket every few weeks with mild detergent. Simply fill the bucket partially, add a little mild detergent, swish it around, empty and rinse. We suggest viewing page 8 of the Use and Care Manual at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000443-1.pdf - If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to ask, we are also happy to help at GEAppliances.com. Keep in touch! Sue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have only had mine for about a week so I have not really needed to clean the tank yet. It look like it will be too difficult to me. I think that the top part with handle can come off because there a small clips holding it in place but I haven’t tried or really looked into it yet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From your description, this might NOT be the one for you. While I have no idea if the internal 'structure' comes out, it's 'clean-ability' looks limited. I make sure I'm vigilant about emptying during use, and storing it completely dry for the winter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Once you turn off the unit just pull the reservoir forward to slide it out and empty it. Very easy.
