I experienced the same thing at first, but figured it wasn't humid enough. Whatever was the answer, it IS collecting it's fair share of water now. I keep it around 45-50, and have been emptying each day during this humid weather.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Dad - Thanks for reaching out to us! We are sorry to hear your dehumidifier is not collecting water and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Try to reset the dehumidifier by disconnecting power for 30 seconds and re-connecting the power and clean the filter. Models are designed to be operated at temperatures above 41F. Lower room temperatures will reduce the moisture removal rate. If the unit is still not collecting water, please refer to the model's 1-year warranty located in the Owner's Manual at this link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000443-1.pdf - If the unit is out of warranty and in need of a repair, check with local servicers to see if they service dehumidifiers. Please note that there are not repair parts for dehumidifiers, and GE Appliances Factory Service does not service dehumidifiers. We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it doesn't fill tray than try cleaning filter. No water remove its not working properly. Check overflow switch and clean filter. Is recommended by manufacture.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ouch! In my experience this usually means the unit has failed. You might try unplugging and letting it sit for 12 hours or so and give it another try. These units can freeze up. They also have ambient temperature limitations. Take a look at the owner's manual.
