QuestionI see it's about 20" deep total, but what is the depth from the point where the window comes down on it?

- Answer Air from the room goes in the front of the unit, through the filter and then comes out the front, just above where it went in.

QuestionHas anyone successfully installed this in a horizontal sliding window? Product measures 19 inches without the flaps and my window is only 20inches wide.... Trying tgo figure out how to jerryrig it to save some money.....

- Answer I ended up buying this air conditioner and installing it in a 20 inch window. For anyone looking for something to fit a small window, this will totally work .... Just don't install the side flaps if you don't need them.

QuestionThis unit is perfect for what I want to use in my garage I have vertical windows that are 22 inches wide can I still use this one it's the perfect 18 I'm sorry 12000 BTU and I can't find a vertical I guess they're called case man if you've got one please

QuestionHow loud or quiet is this unit? I have had others but the last one I have is a little loud. It also uses condensed water to splash the coils and that adds noise as well. Will this system to that?

- Answer Mine is typically load like any window unit. It is louder on cool and high fan. We don’t mind because we have it in th dining area and turn it on and off as we like. At night I leave it on cool and high and set at minimum temp 64 so it will cool the best. We use a fan to circulate the cool air through the house. The coil was under water when we first started using it and made extra racket but I took the drain plug out on the outside so it would drai and it stopped. I didn’t know that was to cool the coil!
