The cooktop is enamel porcelain, I haven’t had any problems with cleaning so far but I usually clean my stove every time I finish with it. I had the same concern cause my last stove was stainless but so far so good
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can see here that it’s iron grates over the burners and a traditional baked on finish. The stainless steel is only the aesthetic part of the range there is no stainless steel on the Cooking top surface itself. It cleans up rather easily and everything dismantles to include the diffusers grates and no stick center surface. So far I’ve encountered no real problems with scratching as long as you don’t use something harsh like steel wool or attempt to scrape with metal on the baked on finish.
