QuestionWe purchased this in July 2020. Today I went to use this and it no longer heats up. It runs on cool air only. I understand things are not made like they used to be but a year? Can this be fixed or do I need to purchase a new dryer ?

- Answer Since you bought it in July 2020, I'd contact manufacturer as soon as possible to initiate a fix as these kind of issues shouldn't be happening so soon after your purchase! I bought extended 5 year warranty with geek squad just because appliances these days aren't as durable as they used to be!

- Answer Hi Merrily - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE! We are sorry to hear your new dryer is not heating and glad to help. Check the Temp setting. This model has a No Heat option. Also, the dryer should be on a separate 208V/240V electrical outlet. An electric dryer may run with a partial voltage of 110 volts, but it will not heat unless it has 208/240V, 30 amps. The circuit breaker could have partially tripped, even if it does not look as though it has. Turn off the breaker to the dryer and turn it back on to restore full power. QuestionHad this dryer for just over a year - works great, but yesterday we had a sudden power outage while drying some clothes and when the power came back on we could not get the dryer to work. There is power and we've tried flipping breaker - how do we fix?

QuestionWhat is the height from the floor to the bottom of the door opening? I’m wondering if I can leave a clothes basket in front of the dryer and open the door at the same time.

QuestionThe depth of our closet is 33 inches but the vent is located on the floor about 1 3/4 inches from the wall. It says we can get a bottom vent but we need to know the location in inches from the back and sides. Any information would be helpful.

- Answer Hi there - Great question! Looking at the rear of the dryer, the center point of the bottom vent opening is 11 3/4" from the left and 8" back from the rear of the dryer. We hope this helps. QuestionDoes the depth spec include the vent measurement? Can the dryer go on the left of the washer? The other side is only about 29" clearance from the wall to the door trim. I'm wondering if that is doable or if the dryer has to be on the right side?

The overall depth measurement of 30.5" does account for the vent exhaust opening on the rear of the dryer. You can install the dryer to the left of the washer to better accommodate your installation space. Though the dryer comes factory installed with a right-hand door swing ("hinges" on right), the door swing and hardware can quickly be reversed so that the door opens in the opposite direction. - Answer The dryer does not come ventless it has a vent in the back of the dryer but if you don't want to buy the dryer vent kit and hook it up to the back of the dryer you don't have to you can use it without the vent kit
