• A:Answer I'm glad you asked! We actually have two "7227" models - a countertop model and a model that can accept a built-in trim kit. The PES7227SLSS is our countertop model and will not accept a trim kit. The PEB7227SLSS is the built-in model when you use trim kit JX7227SLSS (27" cabinets) or JX7230SLSS (30" cabinets). If you're buildign this in you'll want to look at the PEB7227 models. Thanks for your interest! LEDA@GE

Q: QuestionWhat Ge microwave will fit in trim kit jx1830? My old micro (je1860) is no longer working and I wish to purchase a new one to fit trim kit.

• A:Answer I have figured out the answer to my question above. The LG microwave, model LMC 2075, fits perfectly into my 14 year old trim kit GE JX 1830. It looks like it was made for it! Be sure to retrieve the left side vent piece which is screwed onto the old microwave (part of the trim kit). This piece also screws perfectly onto the Left side of the LG microwave. If someone had told me this, it would have saved me from hours of searching and talking with Best Buy salesmen and chatting online. I do hope my response will be added to the question and answers online.

• A:Answer The difference between the PEB versus PES is that the B stands for built in and S stands for stand alone but I was able to use the stainless steel trim kit for PEB7227SLS and put it around the PES7227SLSS. Make sure you have the right opening because when the installer came they said the trim kit wouldn't cover the opening correctly so I ended up having to return the trim kit and ordering a custom trim kit. I like the stainless steel look of the PES versus the grey of the PEB.

Additionally, this question was posted on the product page for the PES7227SLSS model, which is a countertop model and cannot be built-in. Both models in question will not work with any trim kit as they are both designed for countertop installation only.
