Q: QuestionWattage?Why do the most expensive convection microwaves have lower wattage (925watts) than convection microwaves at 50% less (they have 1000 watts). I want this oven to broil meats. Thanks

Q: QuestionI recently purchased a GE advantium PSA9120SF over the range oven. I find the noise level too loud, every time it's in use. I can't talk on the phone because I can't hear a response when the oven is in use. Is this normal?

• A:Answer The readout is white. Please keep in mind that in this particular model there in nothing on the screen at all, it is blank unless the door is opened or the oven is in use. Basically, the oven looks like it is not on until you open the door or start dialing the menu then the screen goes off again. There is no way to fix it, GE considers this a "feature".

Q: QuestionThis microwave was installed to vent outside...which it does. But we notice that there’s a vent on the top of this microwave where it also vents -into the house. Which we DO NOT WANT because it creates a greasy mess. Was it installed wrong?

• A:Answer Hey there and thanks for reaching out! When it comes to venting outside, this is just the air pulled from the cooktop below. When using the microwave, any steam will vent out the front, above the door. Light airflow is normal and not dangerous for the cabinets above. However, if you’re noticing excessive air/steam when using the cooktop vent, it’s possible you may need to reach out to your installers. If you plan to bake on only one level, then you do not need to use the wire rack, but the non-stick metal tray must be used unless prompted to do so otherwise by the oven. • A:Answer This oven/microwave can vent to the front, to the back or to the top. I have mine vented to the top and it goes outside the house. The unit comes with everything to vent to back, front, or top. You do not need to purchase anything extra. Ducting to vent outside are not including with the unit.

• A:Answer Hi K, thanks for your question! We'd be happy to help. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy! - NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. The new model that you've chosen here will make for a wonderful replacement! We hope that this helps. Stay safe. -Michael

Q: QuestionOur Advantium PSA2200RWW02 Speedcooker is vented outside. The vent fan blows well, lots of air leaves the oven into a vertical duct, lots of air through the outside outlet. But nothing is pulled into two filtered inlets on the underside, over our range.
