A:Answer Hey there and thanks for reaching out! When it comes to venting outside, this is just the air pulled from the cooktop below. When using the microwave, any steam will vent out the front, above the door. Light airflow is normal and not dangerous for the cabinets above. However, if you’re noticing excessive air/steam when using the cooktop vent, it’s possible you may need to reach out to your installers.
