We could not get ours to ANYTHING at all till we scanned the QR code, download the app, and go online. Then the machine downloaded the latest version of software. Then finally went to the next screen and let us proceed to setup and wash clothes.

I’d suggest use a multi router network and just buy a secondary router in the middle somewhere. The app isn’t out of this world but it certainly plays a role at the price point of the machine imo.

The UltraFast Combo is a smart washer/dryer which means it connects to your Wi-Fi and can be controlled through your phone and the SmartHQ app. We do recommend connecting this unit to your Wi-Fi so it can receive software updates. These updates will boost the performance of your Combo and ensure proper operation as it is continued to be used. The unit will operate without the Wi-Fi connection, but we do recommend it for these updates, among other features provided with the unit when connected.
