Overall the fan noise is reasonable if you set the fan profile accordingly, or if you just uninstall Gigabyte's ControlCenter tool (in which case you'd need to use Windows power profile and e.g. Intel XTU to set/change CPU performance levels). The CPU handles intensive tasks reasonably well even when thermally throttled down to meet the around 70W capability of the Aero 15's thermal solution set to the "normal" fan profile at 28C ambient. I'm getting around 4650 in CB R20 multicore with the thermal solution saturated. Under an all-core load on the normal fan profile, the fan noise tops out at what I would describe as noisy but bearable even in a relatively quiet office environment, while temps are up at 90C. Under a single-core load the TDP drops to around 20W, and under the normal fan profile the fans are much more tame while temps stay around 70C with no thermal throttling. The fans can produce a somewhat high pitch at high speeds, which is very noticeable outside of the normal fan profile.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Much quieter than I expected, given the reviews. But in performance mode, WOW!, Hurricane Aero unleashed. But that's fine for when I'm cranking out 5K video from my drones, the performance is great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.like all fans, not that loud until they start getting clogged up
