A:Answerit is terrible ( low density) i upgraded with HyperX 32gb dual rank and my geekbench 5.4 score jumped from 8150 to 9841 for multi, and from 1534 to 1605 in single. also to mention on time spy the cpu only score jumped from 6670 to 9780. also for such a terrible ram your cpu have to work more in order to seek data which reduces efficiency. by the way, most of laptop manufacturers are doing this, i bought a lenovo 5 pro from lenovo, it has those terrible rams, the soldered rams on the asus m16, g15 are those terrible rams, and their excuse is covid supply. therefore ram upgrade is a must if you want the performance boost
A:AnswerUsing testufo's "Compare Frame Rates" test, and using a Dell S2721DGF 2K @ 60 Hz (normally 165 Hz), response time set to Extreme:
UFO test: At 60 Hz, motion blur is obvious on both, but AERO 15 shows more detail with better contrast than the S2721 @ 60 Hz
Ghosting: Ghosting is barely noticeable on AERO 15; most noticeable on lightest cyan, not noticeable at all on darkest cyan. Ghosting is more noticeable on S2721 @ 60 Hz, most noticeable on darkest cyan, least noticeable on lightest cyan. No visible ghosting on S2721 @ 165 Hz.
Moving Photo: At 60 Hz, motion blur is obvious but as with UFO test, AERO 15 shows more detail and better contrast than S2721 @ 60 Hz; I can make out cross supports in window panes and almost make out some of the white lettering. At 165 Hz on the S2721 there is basically no motion blur and I can make out much more detail.
For reference, I've also used a S3220DGF (165 Hz 32" 2K) and S2716DGR (144 Hz 27" 2K). The S3220DGF had unbearable motion blur and ridiculously long GtG times that made playing at even 144 Hz feel like playing at 60 Hz. The S2716 is on par with the S2721. In a direct 60 Hz comparison, the OLED panel on the AERO 15 is definitely the best out of all of these.
As far as the ability to play at 4K 60 FPS on the AERO 15, the i7-11800H has strong performance both in single-core and multi-core workloads, so you are unlikely to be bottlenecked there, and the 3060 laptop GPU has around 300 more CUDA cores than the desktop version, so you'll probably be fine with most titles at medium to high settings. If you need extra performance, since the PPI is so high on the screen (most 15.6" laptops are only 1080p or 1440p), you can probably also just lower the resolution without seeing much of a difference visually.
A:AnswerWi-Fi SPEED PROBLEM solutiim. Please confirm for yourself and post.I received my gigabyte aero Oled 15 11 gen i9 yesterday. Tested out the wi-if, and could not believe how bad. Approx 13 mbps up, approx 5- 14 mbps down. My iPad next to it was five times as fast 47/70 mbps up/down. Changed my adapter setting “Throughput booster” to enable (default was disabled). Could not believe my eyes. Instant rocket (relatively speaking). 128/196 mbps. My iPad was still the same 47/70 mbps. Decided to flip the Throughput booster” to ‘disable’. It was still very fast. Kept it on enable, and could not be happier. The path is ‘control panel->Network and Internet->Network Connections”, select Wi-Fi for this intel adapter, then right-click to properties, then configure, Advanced, and from the list select "Throughput Booster", set value to "Enable". Run Speedtest, before and after the change. you will now love your new intel wi-fi adapter. And as I ran the successive tests it get getting faster, the 3rd test being 146/265 mbps. Don’t think this will be consistent since there is no AI behind it.
A:AnswerIts very good for gaming. Has a 105w TGP while many other 3060's have 60w or 85w. I have played Forza 4, Crew 2, Tomb Raider and others in 4k at high or ultra settings. Since you only need 60fps max it does quite well.
A:AnswerIt will be an NVMe drive in M.2 slot. SATA would work but its much slower. I doubt they would have installed a SATA drive in this machine. By the way the laptop has two M.2 slots and one of them is empty
A:AnswerI contacted Gigabyte and the answer is NO. You need to get ram with good JEDEC timing at 1.2V. I ordered Kingston Impact 2x32GB with 20-22-22 timing which is the best I could find.
A:AnswerI assume you mean WarZone - Yeah you should be able to run anything on High to Ultra settings. Keep in mind however, with the 4k screen you are limited to 60hz refresh rate...
A:AnswerOverall the fan noise is reasonable if you set the fan profile accordingly, or if you just uninstall Gigabyte's ControlCenter tool (in which case you'd need to use Windows power profile and e.g. Intel XTU to set/change CPU performance levels). The CPU handles intensive tasks reasonably well even when thermally throttled down to meet the around 70W capability of the Aero 15's thermal solution set to the "normal" fan profile at 28C ambient. I'm getting around 4650 in CB R20 multicore with the thermal solution saturated.
Under an all-core load on the normal fan profile, the fan noise tops out at what I would describe as noisy but bearable even in a relatively quiet office environment, while temps are up at 90C. Under a single-core load the TDP drops to around 20W, and under the normal fan profile the fans are much more tame while temps stay around 70C with no thermal throttling. The fans can produce a somewhat high pitch at high speeds, which is very noticeable outside of the normal fan profile.
A:AnswerNot long at all. Computer is awesome in every way except battery life. Claims all day power but, unless your in meeting mode and asking very little of the machine, it won't last more than 2 or 3 hours.
