No. Nest Thermostat is a programmable smart Wi-Fi thermostat but is not a learning thermostat. Take a look at this link for all Nest thermostats technical specifications for better comparison: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9230098
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, I just bought the Google - Nest Thermostat - Programmable Smart Wi-Fi Thermostat for Home. It is not the one that can "learn". That is a different model called the Google - Nest - Learning Smart Thermostat 3rd Generation. Its more expensive that the one I have but I like mine just fine without it "learning". You can access the thermostat with an app called google home. You can set a schedule to program on and off times, track energy efficiency, set preferred heating and cooling temps (pre-sets called Comfort, Eco, Sleep or custom) and more. Its all the features I wanted since I don't need it to "learn" my temp preferences and make auto adjustments, If I need to warm up the house early or cool it down another time, I just access if from the app using wifi when I am away from home. If you want it to learn your house and heating-cooling habits, then you should buy the other learning smart thermostat, its just more expensive. Hope this helps you with your buying decision. Happy New Year! K-

Or use the app the change the settings while you are in the house or away. But it doesn't learn. You would need to buy the next step up in model.
