- Answer I found that the safety temp was capped at 45F. Don't know what to do to set this higher. Very limiting.

QuestionCan you monitor/adjust the humidity levels as well as the temperature? It would be accessible with your phone/I watch? Trying to see if we would need a separate thermostat on the humidifier.

- Answer No, the Nest Thermostat E can only monitor and control the temperature using the Nest app. It can’t control your humidifier/dehumidifier system as it doesn’t have the wiring support needed, although it comes with a humidity sensor which is limited to monitoring the humidity levels in your home. - Answer Yes, as long as the system is a low voltage model (operating at 24 volts). The Nest Thermostat E will still be a functional thermostat even without Wi-Fi. Also, you can either manually control the thermostat from the display or use the Nest app on your phone or tablet and control it remotely.

- Answer Yes, the Nest Thermostat E already has a built-in temperature sensor. But you also have the option to buy a separate Nest Temperature Sensor which can pair with your Nest thermostat and use it as the primary sensor. You can then place the Nest Temperature Sensor anywhere in your home and it will send temperature readings to your Nest thermostat. - Answer Yes, you can lock your Nest Thermostat E and set a temperature range. Anyone can turn the thermostat’s ring to change the temperature within the range you’ve set, but they won’t be able to set the temperature outside of your range or change any of your settings, unless they have your 4-digit pin code. - Answer Yes, when you set up the wires it charges right through the system. You do not need to use anything else to plug it in even if you don't have the third "C" wire. If your house doesn't have a "C" wire I have seen there are possibly issues with charging but you can add one with a kit.

- Answer Yes it can but you may need to set up more than Nest thermostat and set it up as a zoned system. In zoned systems, each thermostat controls heating and cooling independently in order to heat or cool different areas of the house. Thermostats in zoned systems can control the same heating and cooling system or each thermostat can control its own system. We recommend consulting with a Nest Pro technician or your preferred HVAC technician to set this up as it includes installation of air dampers and ductwork throughout your home.

QuestionI'm gone for months at a time from my Florida house, and I'd really like to keep the A/C off, as long as the humidity is below 78 or so. Can this measure humidity? Or do I just estimate what the humidity would be for 82 or so?

- Answer Nest Learning Thermostat & Nest Thermostat E can both measure the humidity though I do not think the E can control dehumidifier or such. They can measure it and the app can show you what it is. You can then adjust the ac to regulate. Or just set it at 78-80 F and not really worry.

Nest Thermostat E supports one stage of heating, one stage of cooling, and a second stage of either heating or cooling.
