The motor in these electric motors for pressure washers, etc. have a over temp protection. When they get hot they protect them selves. Let them cool off for an adequate period of time depending on how hot they get and see if they start to run again if not, then you have a problem.

Our team is working diligently to be in contact with each waiting customer as quickly as we can while giving each person the attention they deserve. Unfortunately, we understand this is not ideal, but we want to be clear that this is not a normal experience for Greenworks. In the meantime, here you will find some troubleshooting suggestions for you to try. Cleaning Obstructed Nozzles: To clean the nozzles, soak all your nozzles in a half and half mixture of warm water and white vinegar. Soak all the nozzles for about an hour and then proceed to poke your nozzle cleaning tool or paper clip through the end of the nozzle hole to poke out any debris. After you have done this, rinse them with warm water. Your nozzles will now be free of any obstructions causing the unit to malfunction. Removing Air from The Line / Bleeding Out the Unit: Purge any excess air from the pump. Set up the unit as per usual and ensure you are not using an extension cord. Remove any nozzle that may be connected at the end of the wand. Make sure that you have a green light on the GFCI on the power cord. Turn your garden hose on but leave the pressure washer turned OFF. With the pressure washer turned off, squeeze on the trigger for about 3 minutes – allowing the water to run through the unit at no pressure. In doing so, you are bleeding the unit out of any air that may be stuck in the pump. After 3 minutes, turn the unit on. If it is running, reinstall one of your clean nozzles and continue using the unit. Lastly, ensure that the water source is fully opened and is at least 45 PSI. There should be 10' of unrestricted garden hose between the hose connection and the unit, any kinks will prevent the flow of water going into the unit and prevent proper pressure. If you have tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, please contact Greenworks one more at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information, and we will be happy to assist with the warranty claims process. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and look forward to making it right.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a 15 Amp device, the 10 & 15 Amp electrical outlets are the same size, same plug. It sounds to me that you might have been tripping the circuit. Did you need to reset your circuit breaker after each time it stopped working?
