• Assuming the Synology can run software to record the video stream that the quatro sends out, then yes. Plex as well as HD HomeRun have DVR software, though I'm not familiar what you can run on a synology. I've read somewhere about running DVR software on a Synology. Google will be your friend on this.

• I am sure that the NAS will store the recording but to install the software it must have an Intel based processor. I use a Synology NAS to store the programs but run the software on a separate platform.

• Yes. You can configure it to record to a nas. Just point it to the folder you want recordings stored to.

• it should, I have mine hdhomerun connected to my plex server running on ubuntu and it records tv with no problems.
