A:AnswerHi John, This unit is equipped with an auto evaporation system which means it automatically evaporates the condensate through the air outlet hose. There is no need to empty the drainage tank except in very high humidity conditions. Thanks!
A:AnswerIn theory the duct is open and you could get bugs in it, But it mounts flush in the window kit and I have left the outer screen on the window and am venting the air conditioner through the screen. Similarly, you could tape some screen material over the outside of the window kit or the end of the duct to keep the bugs out so long as the screening was not a solid fabric.
A:AnswerOf course it’ll make some noise. But in my opinion, it’s not overly loud. I sleep just fine with it running. It’s as loud as a normal AC I’d say. Hope that helps.
A:AnswerIt requires a vent to exhaust hot air & condensing water vapor to outside. The vent does not need to be through a window; it can be through a wall or a ceiling vent.
A:AnswerThe length of the electrical cord is short to prohibit adding length to the exhaust tube. Lengthening the exhaust tube will result in moisture condensing inside and that will promote mold and mildew.
A:AnswerThe length of the exhaust hose is 12 inches and it can be extended to 47 inches. Please feel free to write to us at [email protected] for more information and assistance. Thank You !
A:AnswerHi, this unit comes with a window venting bracket that measures 20 to 47 inches (50.5 cm to 119 cm). So it should fit your window measuring 34 inches. Please refer to the product manual given on the website www.honeywellhomecomfort.com for more information. Thank You !
A:AnswerYes, you can! If you are running this unit strictly on dehumidifier mode we recommend uninstalling the window exhaust hose and attaching a hose to the upper drain plug for continuous drainage. If you have any questions please give us a call at 1-800-474-2147 between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm EST Monday through Friday or send us an email at [email protected]. Thank you.
A:AnswerAir outlet is always open. It's just a big hose with open adapters at each end. Fan speed stays at set speed when compressor is on or off (cooling or not.)

A:AnswerHi, The upper drain plug should be in the closed position unless you are using this device strictly as a dehumidifier. If so, then you'll want to remove the upper drain plug and attach a hose for continuous drainage when the machine is solely running on this mode.
