I think the filter meter goes based on hours used and at what level the purification is set to to determine how fast the meter fills, for example I have mine set to level 3 purification and it took at least a month and a half of constantly running before the meter started to fill up so yours should eventually start to fill the gage with time, another tip the instruction manual doesn't tell you is you have to wait for the filter meter to completely fill before it lets you reset it.

Please try again later.Hi Depending on which series of Air Genius Air Cleaner you have, there should be some sort of indicator that will tell you when you need to clean the filter. Mine has been running for a little over a month and just showed the first bar on the filter gauge ( I have a series HFD320 cleaner ) . According to the owners manual the ifd filter should be cleaned every three months or when the cleaner indicates the filter is dirty ( whichever comes first )
