Hi there, thanks for your question. These models are different, the model RTH8560D is battery powered, part of the T5 family and 7 Day programmable thermostat. The system compatibility varies as well. The RTH6580WF is also 7 Day programmable however, the it has Wi-Fi Capability, you can connect it to the Internet to monitor and control your heating/cooling system. (Requires a C or common wire).
