- Answer You can choose to leave screen illuminated always on or to go off until you touch the screen to have it come back on when needed and then will go off again. Also can choose multiple colors for the screen.

- Answer The Honeywell Smart Color Thermostat does not have a fan scheduling option; however, it does have a "circulate" mode, which will run the fan randomly 35% of the time each hour. Hope this helps!

QuestionBesides being able to change the colors, is it possible to make the unit go dark until it is touched or activated? I would like to put this unit in a bedroom, but don’t want it glowing all night from across the room. Can it go completely dark or “sleep”?

- Answer Hi Kilmichael! You can set the Resideo Honeywell Home Smart Color Thermostat's backlight to 0 which should be completely black when it's not in use. To set this on the thermostat, tap Settings > Preferences > Backlight > Set to 0. You can test it from this screen as well to see if that's how you would like it. We hope this was helpful!

QuestionI have four wires in my current Honeywell thermostat but no C wire though. Will this thermostat work with batteries or is it not compatible? Is the C wire my only option for power besides batteries?

- Answer Hi Jyhawk, this can thermostat can work with most zone panel. Please ensure the zone control is 24 volts and provides a common (C) terminal for the thermostat. Questionmy old thermostat has an E wire and W2 wire (no AUX), so if my W2 goes into the W2-AUX/E slot, where does my E wire goe?

- Answer E and W2 wires are connected to the W2-AUX/E terminal together. In the south where I live E is for emergency heat and W2 is for second stage heat. Hope this helps.

QuestionWe moved into an apartment that has this thermostat and are trying to connect but it is registered to a previous renter... Is there a way to get control of the thermostat without knowing who it is registered too? Thanks!

- Answer Hi Mark! The THP9045A Wire Saver Module can work with the Honeywell - Smart Color Thermostat with Wi-Fi Connectivity - Silver. This module will allow this thermostat to have a common wire needed to power the thermostat. The module will come with instructions to install with our WiFi thermostats. Have a great day!

- Answer Hello! I will be happy to assist you with the wiring of your Honeywell Smart Color Thermostat with Wi-Fi Connectivity. If you have a heat only system, the two wires coming from your heating system should be connected to the R and W terminals on the thermostat. The two additional wires coming from the separate transformer should be connected to the RC and C terminals on the thermostat. QuestionIs there no way to simply set the unit to 'OFF' mode ? I see only the screenshot of the Fan settings, On, Automatic, Circulate. But what if I simply want it to be 'Off', e.g. I don't want either the Heat or A/C Air on, just Off. I'm surprised no option ?

- Answer Hi Steveo, when the fan setting is set to automatic the system fan will only turn on when the thermostat is making a call for heat or cool. You can also adjust the mode option to off by selecting the mode tab on the top of the screen. -Joey

QuestionI have old Honeywell thermostat where it is U shaped jumper cable between R and Rc. Since this model doesn’t have Rc slot how would I ensure that I did the same connections like my old thermostat? Uploading image for reference.

- Answer Hi Sandy, this thermostat has a jumper loop that makes the connections between R and Rc terminals. This jumper loop is located below the Rc and R terminals on the left. If your previous thermostat had the jumper between R and Rc you have to keep the jumper loop on this thermostat. - Maria

QuestionWill this unit auto switch between heat and cool or do I have to manually change that? I only see off or heat or cool. My settings are for heat to come on at 71 and cool at 75. The heat never came on and it was 69 in the house.
