A:Answer Well, I'm going to try it on carpet myself...But remember to vacuum first, so not too much dirt clogs the hoses and filters...As long as it's "designed" to extract and pick up water, and remember to vacuum first. I don't see a problem unless you lay too much water down to clean, then the machine can't extract enough water out for the carpets to dry quicker... We're not trying to create a breeding ground for mold under carpets! I've noticed that PROFESSIONAL CARPET CLEANER Do Not lay down a lot water to clean...it's more of the type of quality solution for your type of carpet and man power of the brushes or steam...I don't think it would be a problem when the machine is made to pick up water! Test an area to find out! WARNING! DO NOT use a machine that is not designed to pick up water, you be electrocuted!
