QuestionI bought the Hoover Power Dash Pet carpet shampooer. It will not suck up water at all. It sprays out the cleaner but the container for dirty water stays empty.

- Answer I had this same problem…kept cleaning out the roller and front yet the dirty water tank remained empty. What I was missing was the little red filter under the dirty water tank right on the machine!!! I admit I felt silly that I didn’t see this even though there’s a clear label telling you to clean it! Fixed my problem in two seconds!

Questiondoes this shampooer have a clean water and a dirty water tubs?

- Answer I’m not sure if you’re asking about the separation of the water, but there is a bottle near the handle that holds the clean water and solution and the dirty water goes into another container underneath the handle and you can easily go under certain things without hurting your back because it bends to go under without anything stopping it. The shampooer is fantastic in my view.

- Answer It will do as large an area as you want but you will have to refill the clean tank and dump the dirty tank frequently. This is outweighed by the lightness of the product in my case.

- Answer Hi, Thanks for your question regarding the PowerDash Pet Upright Deep Cleaner! To clean the brush roll, we ask you first to turn off and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. Next, flip the cleaner on its side to expose the bottom of the cleaner. Then remove the belt covers, use a Philips screwdriver to remove the 6 screws. After that is completed, remove the belt cover from the unit. Then, pull the brushroll toward yourself and remove it from the unit. Finally, rinse the brushroll and allow it to dry. - Answer The machine wets the carpet and then dry-sucks the water out of the carpet. So cool. Kinda fun to watch the dirty water being sucked up by the transparent nozzle.

- Answer This is not a vacccum, so you'll have to purchase a separate one. This just pushes water and solution into carpet and then sucks it up. I really love it. You should also buy a vacuum for all that other dry stuff :}

QuestionWill this work well on area rugs too? We get some mud and dirt on the rug by our front door during the snow season and I was hoping it could help to keep the rug white and lift those dark marks left by our dirty shoes.

QuestionCleaned the red filter, still isn't sucking up a drop of cleaner. The black rubber gasket that goes around the top of that red filter comes out to get at that filter. Is it the bigger end over the top of the filter or the small end of black gasket? Thanks

QuestionI was using the machine and it started to sound funny. I stopped it and checked that the brush wasn’t clogged. It wasn’t but it wouldn’t allow me to spin it. I was able to spin it earlier today. The belt won’t spin on little metal thing and that is hot.
