- Answer YES!!! It does have Windows 10 in S mode! I hated it! It would only run a very limited number of Microsoft approved programs... the good news is, it is easy to disable!

- Answer Yes, but if you want to transfer the OS and data to the new SSD, you'll need a USB 3 to M.2 NVME adapter for the transfer. You might want to have the Geek Squad do it for you. The alternative is to backup your data, install the new SSD and then install the OS, your software, and data on it. There are a number of software drivers needed that make this route harder for a laptop than for a desktop.

- Answer I use this for online classes. We have audio lectures we have to listen to and I have no problems with this at all. It’s a very clear sound. I have not had a problem with music or television either.

- Answer Battery life is much closer to the 5-8 hours. There are no current laptops with 48 hours of battery life.

QuestionI'm hearing about something called S mode with this laptop. Can anyone explain that and what needs to be done to use this in regulary Windows 10 Home mode. Will it cost anything to use it in regular home mode?

- Answer 'S Mode" basically only allows programs/apps to be installed from the Microsoft Store. Not too difficult to turn it off. Just do a search with your favorite "search provider" and follow some easy steps.

- Answer I believe it's 16GB. I added a 2nd 8GB stick for 16GB total. I don't believe you could switch out the original slot and the 2nd slot for x2 16GB dimm's, but I might be wrong. 16GB for sure at least in a 8GB x2 configuration.

- Answer Super easy! Just Google it. Mine actually gave me the option and it's only a couple of clicks. I just purchased this computer last week and love it. First thing I did was remove S mode.

- Answer I installed a Crucial 8 GB stick, CT8G4SFD824A. 10 minute job, there is a PDF online that describes removal of the back to access the memory slots - Google the "model # service manual". After install, booted up, checked with DXDIAG to confirm 16 GB installed, and ran Windows Memory Check, no errors.
