QuestionHP - DeskJet 2755 Does this printer or the HP 3830 still print if one of the cartridges runs out? Some printers make you replace the whole suite of cartridges when one empties and some let you replace each individual cartridge as needed. Thanks!

- Answer You can use the HP Deskjet 2755 or Officejet 3830 printer in single cartridge mode. That means for example, you ran out of the tricolor ink. You would take that cartridge out. The printer will go into single cartridge mode then you can print with only the black ink cartridge.

- Answer It does not come with a USB cord to connect to your computer to print--you have to supply that cord yourself. And keep in mind that it uses a specific type of printer cable--the one I used is a USB 2.0 Printer Cable which is a "A-Male to B-Male Cord"--the part that inserts into the back of this printer is square shaped that is specific to printer hookups.

The HP Deskjet 3755 printer has a scroll bar for copying and scanning. You can only scan or copy a single page at a time on the HP Deskjet 3755 printer. The HP Deskjet 3755 printer uses the HP 65 or 65 black and tricolor ink cartridges.

- Answer This printer needs to be plugged into the wall outlet. It does not have batteries. It is a wireless printer so people can connect the printer to their wireless network. Then, they can print from their computers, tablets, or smartphones. You can still connect this printer to your computer with the USB A to B cable.

- Answer On the instruction manual, it says: "Do not use USB for setup: Printers with a label covering the USB port must be set up with HP Smart and an Internet connection. After setup, you can print using a USB cable if needed, but the printer must also remain connected to the Internet." Seems like the printer will need to be connected to the internet still, even if using the cable. That is super misleading from what's been commented/info provided by Best Buy/HP. Hopefully it will still work without wifi.

There is one major difference between the DeskJet 3755 and the DeskJet 2755e, aside from the 3755 having a smaller profile/footprint: the 3755 has a "bar" type scanner at the top for scanning flat sheets only. The 2755e has a flatbed scanner under the lid, for more flexibility when scanning books pages, etc. The 3755 has a scan resolution of up to 600 dpi, and the 2755e up to 1200 dpi. The 2755e supports auto-enlarge, the 3755 does not. The DeskJet 2755e is an HP+ printer - it includes an offer of six months of Instant Ink service for free as well as a free additional year of warranty. The 3755 is Instant Ink capable.
