QuestionIs the Officejet Pro 6978 just a newer model than the 6968? Comparison wise they are identical. Would there be any benefit spending $30 more for the 6978? Thanks!

- Answer Good question. They are both new printers and there are differences between them. The 6978 has a few more features than the 6968. The 6978 has a USB port so that you can scan and save documents to a flash drive where as the 6968 does not have a USB port. Also, the 6978 does automatic double sided scanning and copying. On the 6968, if you have a double sided document to scan, you have to manually flip the page over to scan the other side. I hope this helps.

QuestionHow many pages can you print with one black cartridge? How many with color cartridge?

- Answer Good question. This printer has 3 different black cartridges it can take. The standard 902 black cartridge it takes can print up to 300 pages. The high yield 902XL cartridge can print up to 825 pages. It can also take a 906XL black cartridge which can print up to 1,500 pages. The printer takes 902 color cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow) that print up to 315 pages. The 902XL color cartridges print up to 825 pages. I hope this helps.

- Answer You can look at the close up of the printer and plainly see that it says : Print/ Fax/ Scan/ Copy/ Web. As well as read in in the description. Why the other person answered incorrectly I do not know. Maybe they were confused too??

Questionwe were told by the best buy associate that this printer was wireless even to fax. No land line. we cannot confirm this info. we need to know because we do not have a landline.

- Answer It does not do wireless faxing. You need a landline to fax. Your other option is to scan the document and email them straight from the printer.

- Answer Open your document, Select PRINT on your computer, when the box opens, check the box in the lower left that says PDF and hit save. It will prompt you to locate the place you wish to save.

- Answer The last HP printer that we had which was similar in size lasted more than five years. It was still working, but was beginning to have some concerns with the paper feed.

- Answer when you sign up for HP connected you receive 3 months of free ink, plus you can receive instant ink which means your printer automatically orders ink when you are low. HP also sends emails in regards to sales etc.
