- Answer For regular usage, this product is not designed to print using only the black cartridge when the color cartridges are out of ink. However, your printer is designed to let you print as long as possible when your cartridges start to run out of ink. When there is sufficient ink in the printhead, the printer will offer you the use of black ink only when one or more of the color cartridges are out of ink, and the use of color ink only when the black cartridge is out of ink. ? The amount that you can print using black or color ink only is limited, so have replacement ink cartridges available when you are printing with black or color ink only. ? When there is no longer sufficient ink to print you will get a message that one or more cartridges are depleted, and you will need to replace the depleted cartridges before you resume printing.

Questioncan you set like 20 pages to scan at once? Or do you need to scan one page at a time?

- Answer The automatic document feeder (ADF) will hold up to 50 sheets. That means that you could scan a 50-page document and it would show up at the destination as one file, 50 pages in size. I have done 20+ page scans multiple times on mine and it handles them like a champ.

QuestionWill the printer function if one ink cartridge in empty?Will the HP 8620 function if one ink cartridge is empty? I currently have a Cannon printer and if one ink cartridge is empty you can not print. You can not even setup the printer unless all ink cartridges contain ink.

- Answer I have not had any luck printing in Gray Scale. I am out of yellow ink and the printer refuses to allow me to print in only black and white. I read a series of messages and complaints on HP Support Forum where customers are livid that HP requires customers to buy yellow ink to even print in black. From what I gather from these posts is HP is not the only printer manufacturer who has deigned their printers in this way, as Henry's initial past would indicate. I find it hard to believe that there is not a better design that does not require the purchase of color ink when only black is needed. I have not found any HP literature that warns customers of this fundamental issue. Surely, had I known that I could not use my printer at all if I were out of yellow ink I would have considered other options.

- Answer I think it is best to use HP ink. My last printer HP 8500) I used Office Depot brand and the quality was not good. The prints had lines and the color faded in and out. I think it may have messed up my printer because although I switched back to HP ink, the prints were not nearly as good as they were before. Also when I changed the cartridges the a message appeared on the printer that HP would not be responsible for any damages that may be caused by foreign ink (other than HP).

- Answer I print envelopes with my printer, however, you will need to load more that one envelope for the feeder to catch it.

- Answer With this model printer HP has an instant ink program that is very reasonable, there are three different plans and they are all described at hpinstajtink.com , check it out and you will be very surprised. The printer is awesome and I never have to worry about ink anymore. We print a lot of pictures and do a lot of copying and scanning. We are very happy and you always have a fresh set of ink cartridges to put in. The printer tells hp when you put in your back up cartridges and they send out a new set right then.

QuestionHow do I get my remote desktop to recognize HP officejet pro 8620?

- Answer install the hp cd program it comes with. follow the instructions its very easy. i turned on the printer and let it self program. it does this when you first turn it on then it will ask you if you want to connect it to your wireless network and it will search for your network. when it does input your network password and your printer is set up on your home network. then i installed the hp cd the printer came with to my computer and its good to go it's as easy as that.

- Answer The 8620 has double sided scanning and NFC technology. Those are the only 2 major differences.

QuestionIs this printer compatible with Windows 10?I recently installed Windows 10 on my Dell laptop and have had problems with my printer ever since. I have been told by Dell that my Dell V715w printer has not been tested for compatibility with Windows 10. I am looking for a new printer that has been verified as compatible with windows 10

You will be able to install the drivers for Windows 10 with the CD provided in the printer's box or you can download it from the HP Drivers website. QuestionI don't print often so will the ink expire and be unusable when I do need it?My Kodak printer had new ink about 3 mos ago. I rarely have to print so by the time I need to use the printer it tells me I'm low on ink. Also if the black ink is "out" you can't just use the color. So you can't print at all and are virtually locked out from printing. I want to know if the HP- Officjet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Wireless All-In-One Printer is going to do the same thing.

QuestionDoes this copier copy 2-sided to 2-sidedI bought the 8610 and was shocked to find that it did not copy 2-sided to 2-sided. the 8600 did ?!?! Bizarre! Specs do not indicate the answer.

- Answer I've printed in card stock for signage I use at my job, and I'm satisfied with the quality. In other words - yes, it's much better than the "non-officejet" printers I've tried this on.

- Answer I haven't enlarged anything but mine automatically printed on both sides. It printed one side and started to shove the paper out and then sucked it back in and printed other side.
