- Answer The official HP specs show that it's DDR5, so the spec showing DDR4 is incorrect. I've documented the discrepancy so that Best Buy can correct it.

QuestionThe RAM, which is said by a correspondent here which is upgradable to 32 RAM, is that easy to do in this laptop? It can be done easily by Gee Squad? What is the ballpark or approximate price of that kind of work? That upgrade will void any guaranty?

- Answer Hello, Nick. Thanks for your question. RAM is one of the easier components to replace. It does require removing the bottom cover of the laptop to access the motherboard. The instructions can be found on pages 33-35 of the Maintenance and Service Guide under the Manuals tab on this webpage: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-16.1-inch-gaming-laptop-16-k0000/2101129690/manuals Or you can have the Geek Squad at Best Buy upgrade the RAM for you. We recommend reaching out to the Geek Squad for the current pricing. As long as you are careful with the upgrade, it will not void the warranty. You will need to purchase the 32 GB DDR5-4800 RAM SODIMM (laptop) RAM. The model of this laptop is the HP OMEN 16-k0023dx. - Answer Yes, it certainly would be a good choice. It's got fast 12th generation i7 processor, plenty of RAM for all but incredibly complex images, and a nice fast graphics card.

- Answer 16:9 with a big bottom chin. AFAIK no OLED versions. This is a 2k 165hz screen though.

- Answer HP lists Max RAM at 32GB. 16GBx2 I bought a 32GB Crucial RAM chip because Crucial's website said it was supported but the laptop would not boot. Had to reinstall the original RAM. Very disappointing that HP limits the laptop
