It should work in China, but I would check the frequencies compatibility. The mate 9 pro has dual curve 5.5" screen and the finger print sensor is on the front.

The Mate 9, and the pro version are covered under a different warranty and are not serviceable in the U.S. The U.S. version of the Mate 9 is an unlocked GSM device and works on international GSM networks, however, compatibility may vary in China and you will need to contact your preferred carrier in that region to verify functionality.
