Not that loud. I feel like it's a perfect medium.

The red variant of this keyboard is not silent - and does not have an audible click/clack when the keys are pressed. You can hear it being typed on, certainly - but it is not obnoxiously loud - at least to me. If you are using this to hammer out the next great american novel - you may want to look elsewhere as the sound may very well get to you. But when gaming with headphones on - you'll likely not hear anything that will distract you from a game. That being said, you can add on keyboard O-rings to dampen the sound. I swapped the keys on my Alloy Origin TKL and added O-rings. It changed the sound signature to more of a muted noise vs a 1940's newspaper typing pool clickity-clack. I swapped the HyperX keys for PBT keys and added Glorious O-rings. Took a little bit of work - but I'm quite happy with the sound.

However, many people find the bottom out sound to be pleasant. It is far quieter than a blue switch type. If you want something even quieter, cherry mx silents are really your only choice if you don't want to make your own keyboard.
