- Answer I had a Vizio sound bar that did the exact same thing. If no sound goes through the sound bar after a period of time, it shuts down. Computers do the same thing. Not a big deal. I guess the idea is to prolong the life of the sound bar.

QuestionThe sound bar is working great except that it flashes up on the tv screen the volume level like every 20 seconds. How do I stop it from flashing the volume level on the tv screen?

- Answer I figured it out. I pushed the status button on the remote till i got a white light on the soundbar and it got rid of the volume level flashing. The Insignia tv and soundbar work great!

Questionthis probably is a dumb question, but if I buy this Insignia sound bar and plug it into the Audio Jack on my old Insignia TV, will it amplify the available volume from this kitchen TV? It's probably a 12-year old TV, but is a good size for where it is.

- Answer As long as there is audio output from your old TV, assuming the output jack size matches your cord (which it should), it will work. If for some reason the plug's jack doesn't fit or match your old audio output, a simple jack adaptor will address the problem!
