• It’s close but not the same. Check out the review I just wrote. If you want the exact same as Sonic ice, buy the GE Opal

• Its very close but not exactly the same. I am quite happy with it and quite honestly am drinking a lot more water because of it. (which is a good thing)

• It’s close but not the same ice. It’s little rectangular cubes. It’s okay to eat just not as soft as Sonic ice.

• the GE OPAL is closer... but also a piece of garbage. we had one last 4 months and another last 13... that is with using distilled water and cleaning it regularly. this ice maker seems to be a much better deal.
