QuestionInstructions are not clear on this. When I first run cleaning cycle on new machine, do I place water in the lower chamber? If so, how much. Instructions say to clean cycle before using but doesn't mention water... Thx!

- Answer I'm assuming since it's been a month you've figured this out. For others, yes, fill with water, run cleaning cycle, drain by removing both tubes from back of machine and pulling the plug that's attached to both tubes. Make sure to wipe out water area. Oh, the little white ramp/perforated filter in the bottom of the water bin....pop that off and wipe out the water inlet underneath there. If you don't, it will get gunked up!

- Answer Like most machines tap water is usable and depending on if your water is hard or soft, you may need to clean your machine more often. I prefer to use purified water in mine. Enjoy!!

- Answer When the ice drawer is full, you can remove it to dump the ice into a container and store it in your freezer. This unit features a Self-recycling water system, it filters and reuses melted water.

- Answer No more then a minute each time you run it, but if you are not using filtered water on ice production, ( I don't recommend ) you will probably need to clean it a few times a week. Cleaning solution: 1 part white vinegar 1 part filter water, run 2-3 cycles without draining, then just run clean filtered water for an additional 2-3 cycles and drain/add clean filter water each time.

QuestionIs there a way you should insert the ice basket? The holes don't quite lineup the way I think they should..ooking straight down, there's a hole and there's a oval and then a 1/2 a square. either way I put it in, it still goes over the piece in the machine

- Answer The basket isn't meant to keep the ice frozen, and if it's melting to quickly, you may have it next to a heat source, ( near fridge, under cabinet with no ventilation, or in direct sunlight )
