Yes it has a cleaning cycle that you set when you want.

No but easy to clean turn thw back to the front of counter or where ever uou have it aitting there will bw two rubber hoses you take the black cap off drain water into bowl and dump it put the black cap back on turn around and start using.

It is not self cleaning. It has a cleaning function but you have to drain the water.

Cleaning mode keeps the ice maker in good working condition. We suggest running a cleaning cycle at least every three days.
