I do not understand how you would go about hooking up a hard drive to a monitor. However, if your computer has a DVI connection and you need to plug it into a monitor with only an HDMI connection then yes this will work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hard drives and monitors don't plug into each other. You should have the geek squad help you before you kill yourself with a horrible electric shock.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you current monitor is VGA, you need a VGA to HDMI converter. I purchased this to connect my monitor because it only came with VGA to VGA. My new computer doesn't have a VGA connection so the HDMI is plugged into the computer with the VGA plugged into the monitor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A hard drive takes an HDMI cable? Are you sure it is not a USB?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your hard drive connects directly to a monitor?? How does that work? If there is a device between hard drive and monitor, suspect an adapter cable would solve the issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can get a HDMI to VGA converter. It will convert the HDMI video signal to the older VGA signal. Insignia™ - 5" HDMI-to-VGA Adapter - Black Model: NS-PG95503 SKU: 1577417
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Purchase the Insignia™ - 6' DVI-D-to-HDMI Cable or a similar cable. This will convert the HDMI to the DVI Monitor. It has worked for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don't have to convert it, just purchase the Insignia™ - 6' DVI-D-to-HDMI Cable - Black or a similar cable and everything should work. Just plug the ends in and your monitor should work with your computer. I have done this myself on several occasions for the company I work with. Make sure your monitor has the DVI. If not then purchase the VGA to HDMI cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Either get a VGA to HDMI Cable (VGA is a Blue Cable Ends Generally) OR a DVI to HDMI Cable (DVI is generally White Ends). Depending on your monitor, that is what you will need. Generally all you have to do is plug in the ends and everything will work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this question is a bit off. a new hard disk drive in a computer will not change the video output of the computer. if you meant you got a new video card then if it only has HDMI output on the card you can just us a HDMI to DVI cable. The DVI end of the cable would simply plug into the back of the monitor more likely to be white color coded. if you only have a VGA port (blue in color) on the back of your monitor then you would need a small device the will attach to the DVI end of the cable making it compatible. i attached the DVI to VGA adapter i referred to you can find it on other sites cheaper. i do not represent best buy its just an easy way to so you what im referring too. hope this helps
