A:Answer Sir, I just posted a review of the product and saw your question. I'm sorry I can't directly answer, as I have not used the programs. I just run in manual mode. For me, it is taking some trial and error to get the best results. But even with conventional cooking sometimes it takes a few tries to perfect a dish. But so far I am quite pleased w/ the device. I live in the south and we love our slow cooked greens. (we were onto kale way before the fad) With this machine you can use the sautés function to wilt down the leaves, then 10 min on pressure, and then about 30-60 on slow cook to let the ingredients infuse the broth. Results were great.
I did have to take a few tries on chilli to figure out the right combination of pressure cook and slow cook. I think with things that are stews, or stew like (chilli) you need some combination of the two methods.(well 3 actually if you take into account a sautés of the meat)
Anyway, its a great bit of kit for $30. Hope you enjoy yours.
