A:AnswerGet a steamer pot accessory. Look them up on Amazon - for 6 quart pressure cookers or look up steamers for multi-function pressure cookers or for Instant Pots. One with a handle and mesh sides along with trivet legs supposedly works well. I just ordered one from Amazon for mine after realizing that using the included trivet would have my veggies drop through and my own collapsible metal steamer (one I've used stovetop in sauce pans) has legs which are too short to prevent "boiled" veggies given the need to put at least 1 cup liquid.
A:AnswerThere is a button on the face of the selection panel located at the middle bottom. It clearly is labeled: Sear/Saute. So, Go for It!
I haven't used my unit as of yet. I purchased it when the price was rock bottom, so it was an offer I couldn't refuse.
A:AnswerChina. It's comparable to other brands. The only difference is the interior pot. This brand comes with a non-stick insert. Stainless steel inserts are available for about $20
A:AnswerThe button that seals the pressure and liquid might not be sealing properly. If you hear a whistling, you can nudge the button. Also the release valve might be slightly turned. Once I check those 2 things my cooker gets to temperature quickly and the food cooks just fine.
