- Answer This is a complete dock and comes with all the cables you need to play with. No need to take anything off your original Nintendo switch dock.

- Answer The dock is a very tight fit for the Switch on its own. There's definitely no way that it can fit the Switch while it has a case on it.

- Answer So I bought this because I wanted a spare dock that would work in tabletop mode and I could play while it was charging. It turns out that it works great as a spare dock to travel with, but it will NOT work in tabletop mode. Meaning that if you have it docked without the HDMI, it will still think you’re connect to an actual dock and the Switch screen will go dark. It’s unfortunate because THIS was the main reason I got it. Don’t believe the people that write on here that it works in tabletop mode because it doesn’t. TLDR: It basically works exactly the OEM dock, just cheaper in price. No tabletop mode compatible.

QuestionIs there a light that shows the battery condition as it charges or when it's done ?.........I see a light, but I can't tell what it shows......Thanks !

- Answer It only shows when the switch is docked. It didn't indicate charge level or if it's done or even if it's turned on unfortunately.

- Answer The rating is as follows Output 5v @ 1.5A and 15v @ 2.6A Wich is the same as the original Nintendo Switch Power Adapter.

QuestionWhy is this no longer available? This was a fantastic product! It was only like $25, supports CEC, and actually came with a charger. The rockfish is 2x the price and doesn't do the other 2 things. I knew I should have picked up 2 or 3 of these. :(

- Answer Guessing it's because the Switch OLED doesn't output higher than 480p through this dock (and no-one is supporting the Insignia version with firmware updates to fix).

- Answer I have a screen protector and a thin shell casing. I have to take off the shell casing as it won't fit. The screen protector is fine tho.

- Answer Yes. It will charge the system while you play it. I will say, however, that you should be careful using a 3rd party Switch dock at the moment. My Insignia dock has worked perfectly but since the Switch 5.0 update more and more people have reported having a 3rd party dock damage their Switch. The major offender seems to be the Nyko dock, but I have heard of users claiming the Insignia dock damaged their Switch. Be careful. Apparently Nintendo is aware of this and is working on it, but has officially stated that your Switch is not protected when using any 3rd party accessories. Again, my Insignia dock has given me no trouble at all, but it is something to be aware of.

- Answer Though I haven't seen anyone report issues on the Insignia dock bricking any consoles, it can still happen. Not everyone using Nyko docks on 5.0 update ended up with bricked console. I have been using the Insignia dock since December 2017, and I haven't had any issues. If you want to be super safe, it may be best to just stick with Nintendo branded docks.

- Answer this is 120% compatible with your switch. I bought it and I take it everywhere it comes with its own set of cables. the AC adaptor powers a switch dock just like the original

- Answer It comes with everything necessary to hook up an existing switch console to a tv. It does not come with a console or games.

- Answer Yes, I have successfully interchanged the AC adapter that comes with the Insignia dock with the original AC adapter that comes with the Nintendo Switch. No issues.

- Answer Yes it works and I was even able to hook up 2 extra wire pro controllers on top of the 4 game cube controllers using a USB hub.

- Answer The above answer is wrong. The black usb is for power and the gray usb is for rumble. you dont NEEd both for it to work. In short, yes, you should be able to make it work. Note, i am thinking of buying this and havent yet :)
