• Yes it works and I was even able to hook up 2 extra wire pro controllers on top of the 4 game cube controllers using a USB hub.

• I have a Hyperkin adapter and it works with just the black connector plugged in and switch on Wii U side. Using the grey connector or with it on PC, it won't recognize anything.

• I bought this before seeing all the reviews of the many people that have had their nintendo switch's fried for using third party docks and now I’m stuck with this product. If I were you I would spend the extra money in original nintendo accesories and not risk damaging your $300 console
