The LEDs turn green when the controllers are charged. If they aren't lighting up you either don't have power at that outlet, the cord isn't fully plugged in, the chargers aren't fully seated, or your charger is defective. Check the controllers first, make sure they have 'clicked' when you pushed them down. If the LED turns red then they are fully seated on the charger.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It may be defective. I just had my son plug his on and there is a red light on top of the charger.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Old question but I will answer anyway. Hmm, I see lights on mine. Right at the top. I would either send it back and get it replaced or run a test yourself - if it works you could just keep it knowing it's defective. Use a joycon until the batter is visibly out of juice (can see via the switch menu). Plug it in and check it the next day. If it's charged, great! If not, send it back. Hope this provides useful guidance to you or anyone else who might see this. Cheers!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. While clipped in and charging, the top of each charging port should show a red LED. When fully charged, that light will turn green
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Displays green when charged

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Lights should come up on top of device red when charging and green when done. But if no lights come on it might be defective
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My LED lights worked perfectly with the regular joy cons. However, the NES-style wireless controllers did not charge, as they were too big. It does matter which side they are placed on. There is an "L" and and "R" on each side. If the right joy con isn't in an "R" slot, it won't charge. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have the power supply connected, and no LED’s you probably have a defective unit or the JoyCons are not fully inserted. They click and are flush with the top of the charger when fully inserted.
