QuestionDoes the Insignia - Mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI Adapter transfer audio as well as visuals?I have a macbook air and am able to transfer the visual to my TV however there is no sound.

- Answer Have you changed the output settings? Go to the top left of your mac to that little apple logo then to System preferences -> Sounds -> output -> choose desired output (either the HDMI cable/TV or you can plug in other speakers). Hope this helps.

QuestionI bought this but a GE brand recently but it's female ends and it is supposed to work for iPhones as well... but my question is what other connection do I need to complete this... the phone charger has a USB at the end so that won't work...

- Answer No, the iPhone does not have a Mini DisplayPort. This adapter will not work for you. You could try to use an AV Lightning adapter, Lightning cable and HDMI cable to connect your iPhone to HDMI. David M. - Insignia Support

- Answer Well, this is a DP->HDMI adapter. Be a bit hard to plug it into anything other than the PC/MAC or USB3,1/Thunderbolt/etc. docking station Mini-DP port. You'll be adapting this by way of a stock HDMI cable from this dongle to the TV in question.

- Answer Don't know without knowing what kind of video output port your chromebook has. This adapter is made for a "Mini DisplayPort" or "MiniDP" video output port.

QuestionI have a Mid 2010 I-Mac and wanted to hook it up to my Insignia Tv. All I see is the computer screen on my Tv and I also do get the audio but I do not get any other video.

- Answer I am kind of confused by your question; if there is one. So I will ask you a question: What do you want to see on your TV besides the computer screen? Are you looking for content other than what your computer can produce? I have this adapter and it works perfectly; reproducing my computer screen on my large monitor. This adapter can only transmit what it is being fed by your computer. It can't go out and find something different by itself.
