Thanks for your question! The models you're asking about, the Vortex Plus and the Vortex Pro, are very similar in their functions. The Vortex Pro has two extra functions added: Proof and Toast. The control panel is also a bit different to accommodate the two extra buttons. The rest of the functions perform identically. We hope this helps!

I purchased the "Pro" model Instant Pot Oven. I ran it empty for 15 minutes prior to using it for food and the smell disappeared. I've used the air-fry and rotisserie settings to cook and have had no trouble with plastic odors.
