We have 3 dogs, 2 of whom shed a lot, so we dump ours after every use. We have only had ours a few months so we have not replaced the filter yet. I’m not even sure if our model has a replacement filter option?? Sorry my answer isn’t more helpful, but I do encourage you to dump the bin often!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.People seem confused about the difference between the bin and the filter inside the bin. You should dump the bin after every use, and if you have a lot of stuff to pick up (lots of pets or it's been a while since the last cleaning), you may have to dump the bin halfway through the cycle. But there is a plastic + paper filter inside the bin. It's replaceable, and the replacements are cheap and readily available. Roomba says to change that filter every 2-3 months IIRC, but I rinse it gently with tap water, let it dry and use it for a year or more. It's easy to clean.
