There won't be a problem, but how Roomba interacts with the rugs depends on their size and weight. If the rugs are small or lightweight, Roomba may move them out of the way and continue cleaning. If they're heavier, or secured to your floor with carpet tape or a rug pad, Roomba will likely vacuum them/drive over them. You can get some indication by seeing how the rugs respond when you push your upright vacuum, but Roomba is lighter-weight with adjustable wheels and will be more nimble.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have throw rugs in my home and it doesn't seem to cause any problem for the iRoomba but these rugs are substantial. Also one of the rugs has fringe on the ends and it doesn't get caught up in the iRoomba.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just got an S series and it definitely has a problem with throw rugs. It always gets stuck on them. Tonight it actually pulled a thread out and started unravelling a rug. I had to work several feet of thread out of the rollers. The rug is destroyed. The problem is that the rollers keep spinning as its mounting the rug. And when it starts to eat it, it doesn't back up. It spins, twisting the rug up underneath it. Thick throw rugs are fine. It's the small thin ones that it eats.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's good for area rugs and throw rugs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.IT DOES OFTEN CATCH THOSE WITH FRINGE BORDERS. BUT NO PROBLEM WITH OTHERS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It goes over ours but they do not have ruffles and are not that thick. Here’s a video I found. https://youtu.be/6TkASj0tJCc
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought an iRobot Roomba so as to clean my home, after having bought a preciously a Xiaomi one, falling stupidly victim of advertising / clever marketing... WHAT A MISTAKE!!! It gets stuck everywhere, all the time, in small rugs, but also big ones, around obstacles, with cables, etc... when the Xiaomi one is actually rarely an issue!!! Am livid!!! Another case of - read ALL the reviews stupid - before buying... Will NEVER EVER recommend one to anyone I like as it is a pice of crap! Kicking myself to having wasted stupidly 300€ on a useless piece of kit!
