Do i need yfi for this to operate properly? null

You can use any Roomba by simply pressing "Clean" on the robot. However, you can access more features by connecting the robot to your Wi-Fi network.

It will work without wifi. You need wifi for the phone app which allows you start, stop, pause, and dock the roomba, otherwise you press the button on the top and it goes until its done.
