“My JBL 2.1 subwoofer has a jack for an optional Subwofer Upgrade . How does that work? I can’t seem to find any info on JBL’s website and no forums addressing this.”

• The jack on the subwoofer is basically for upgrading the firmware on both the soundbar and the subwoofer.

• You can download firmware upgrade from JBL website, currently version U48. It would include update instructions. You would need to connect subwoofer with stereo cable "upgrade" jack to "aux" input jack on the bar to upgrade subwoofer firmware during system upgrade from USB drive connected to the bar "usb" input.
